EFA Core Aim Numbers

The EFA Core Aim Numbers report shows a range of basic figures for EFA aims, grouped by three custom groupings.

Parameters

• Contract year - This lets you choose the contract years to show in the report.
• Exclude obsolete assessors - When set to Yes, this will remove obsolete assessors from the filter parameters (if assessor is chosen as a grouping). Also, if grouped by assessor, it will group learners with obsolete assessors under a blank grouping.
• Grouping / Filter 1, 2 and 3 – These let you choose up to three custom groupings for the report. Each grouping has a corresponding filter option (e.g. grouping by assessor will provide a list of assessors to choose from).
• Ready to run – Set this to Yes when all other parameters are set (this prevents the report from running automatically on the default parameters).

Layout

The report shows the following columns:

• Learner Starts in Date Range - The number of EFA learners (i.e. programmes) which started in the contract year and completed the qualifying period. The qualifying period is defined as follows:

  Study programme planned length in-year	Qualifying period
  >= 24 weeks	6 weeks (42 days)
  2 to 24 weeks	2 weeks (14 days)

• Carry-In Learners from Previous Year - The number of EFA learners / programmes which were carried over from the previous contract year and restarted in the current year.
• Core Aim Starts in Date Range - The number of EFA core aims which started in the contract year and completed the qualifying period.
• Carry-In Core Aims from Previous Year - The number of EFA core aims which were carried over from the previous contract year and restarted in the current year.
• Learner Non-Starts - The number of EFA learners / programmes which started in the contract year and did not complete the qualifying period.
• Core Aim Non-Starts - The number of EFA core aims which started in the contract year and did not complete the qualifying period.
• Learners currently in-Learning - The number of live EFA learners / programmes (i.e. those where at least one of the aims in the programme does not have an actual end date).
• Aims Currently in-Learning - The number of live EFA core aims (i.e. those without an actual end date).
• Aim Leavers - The number of EFA core aims which ended in the contract year (only aims which completed the qualifying period are included).
• Learner Leavers - The number of EFA learners / programmes which ended in the contract year (only programmes which completed the qualifying period are included).
• All Aims Active in Timeframe - All EFA aims (core or otherwise) which were active at any point in the contract year.
